The Genetics of Reebops

In this activity students model meiosis, fertilization and inheritance of 8 different traits in Reebops - an imaginary animal. The questions with the activity help the students understand the events during meiosis and the effect of genotype on phenotype. The activity will also strengthen their understanding of how alleles are passed from parents to offspring via haploid gametes. Answers are included.
